Description:  The Type 72 is made of thin green plastic with a soft rubber cap.  In the center of the underside is the detonator and booster plug, which can be removed to disarm the mine.  Offset from the plug is a small screw, which holds the diaphragm in place.  The mine is armed by pulling a wire safety pin from the side of the mine, after which the mine cannot be neutralized.  The Type 72 is waterproof and only the firing pin, and detonator, is metal making it very hard to detect.

Warning: Type 72B mine, which looks identical but contains an electronic and Anti-Handling package, which makes the mine easier to detect, but impossible to move.
